From newborn to elementary age, we have a fun environment where our hands-on curriculum gives children a first impression of their heavenly Father and the wonder of His love.
First Time Here?
Register your children at the Children’s Visitor Center in the lobby. We will meet your family, check your child in and one of our volunteers will lead you and your child to their age/grade-appropriate room.
Safety & Security
- Check-In Process - In order to provide the safest environment for your children while in our care, we follow a strict check-in process.
- Background Checks - All Nursery, Waumba Land and UpStreet volunteers are carefully trained and background checked including PA 153 clearances before serving in our children’s ministries.
- Relationships - We believe a consistent environment is best for our classes, so we encourage your children to attend the same hour each week. They will make friends and have the same small group leaders.
- Wellness - Children who have shown signs of fever, vomiting or other contagious illnesses should be symptom and fever free for 24 hours before coming to Nursery, Waumba Land and/or UpStreet.
Allergies & Special Needs
Please notify us of ANY and ALL allergies, medical or behavioral special needs so we can best help your children. For your convenience, we provide Cheerios for snacks in the Infant Nursery, Goldfish, Cheerios and Veggie Straws (gluten-free) for snacks in classrooms of toddler ages and above.
Waumba Land is our environment created especially for your infants through preschool-aged children. We know things are busy at this stage of life and your children are learning and growing in amazing ways. We are ready for them and can’t wait to meet them!
We look forward to helping your preschoolers learn more about God and partnering with you in the spiritual growth of your child.
All of our lessons revolve around three basic truths that we want every child to learn:
God MADE me.
God LOVES me.
Jesus wants to be my FRIEND forever.
WHAT WE DO
Nursery - In our infant and toddler nurseries we help even the youngest children become familiar with Jesus' love for them. We provide kids with a place where they feel safe and cared for and can begin to learn how to trust God and others.
Little 2s - (transition class from Toddler Nursery to 2 year old class) will meet in a circle each week in their classrooms and learn about God in meaningful and developmentally appropriate ways through hands-on activities.
In our 2 - Pre K classes we plan a full hour for your child that includes Bible stories, songs, crafts, games, and best of all, small group time for prayer and discussion. 2s – Pre-K classrooms will start with MAKE IT FUN that includes hands-on activities designed to make your child feel drawn into their classroom. Next, they MAKE IT TRUE in a large group setting where the children hear the truth of God’s Word and rejoice through worship. This is a great time they will not want to miss. Ask them about it! After large group, they head back to their classroom for MAKE IT STICK with a craft or activity based on the day’s lesson. Then for 4s and 5s they MAKE IT REAL with a discussion time to help kids apply what they have learned. PARENT CUE is our weekly take home that shares with you what your child learned so that you we can partner with you as you talk with them at home about what they are learning.
UpStreet is our environment created especially for your elementary-aged children where we believe the Bible should never be boring, worship can be really loud, and good leaders always care. The focus is our small group environment. We want kids to see how God's Word fits into their lives, to learn how to talk to Him, and to build friendships that will last.
Before kids head off to sixth grade, we want to make sure these three things stick:
1. WISDOM: I need to make the wise choice.
2. FAITH: I can trust God no matter what.
3. FRIENDSHIP: I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
WHAT WE DO
In our K – 5th grade year old classes we plan a full hour for your child. The focus on UpStreet is our small group environment. Their morning starts off with PLUG IN designed to introduce children to the day’s lesson in a setting that gives them individualized attention from their Small Group Leader along with plenty of interaction with a small group of peers. Next, they POWER UP in a large group setting designed to engage them in worship and present an interactive approach to the Bible story. After large group, they head back to their classroom for CATCH ON which is designed to help kids understand how the day’s lesson applies to them. They’ll discuss real-life experiences, interact with close-knit groups of peers, and participate in a variety of activities that appeal to different learning styles. Life application and memory verses activities, as well as prayer, are always a part of this hands-on-time. PARENT CUE is our weekly take home that shares with you what your child learned so that you we can partner with you as you talk with them at home about what they are learning. GOD TIME is our weekly take home devotional for kids and parents to do together (Ks – 3rd) or for kids to do on their own (4th & 5th). We want kids to see how God's Word fits in to their lives, to learn how to talk to him, and to build friendships that will last. That's why it's important to make sure your child connects with the same friends and same leader at the same hour—EVERY SUNDAY!
UpStreet is available during the 9:00 AM and 10:45 AM services.
Family Experience is a live show that takes place the first Sunday of the month September through May where hosts reveal the Life App that K–5th graders are learning about in UpStreet all month long. Kids and parents join the hosts on stage to play games that reinforce the Life App. Every month is a different Life App and our volunteers go the extra mile to make it lots of fun. Haggis, our Scottish Rapper, joins us via video to talk about the widget of the month. The widget is a take home to help families practice the Life App daily in their homes. It’s a wonderful fifteen minutes of laughter, fun and learning how we use the Life App to live for God in today’s culture.
